In this beginner to intermediate level Hatha Yoga course we will cover some of the most foundational breath work techniques that lay the foundation for exploring the breath as a vehicle for physical, mental and spiritual evolution. We will cover what you need to get started in a safe and effective way without too much technical jargon or philosophy, but only what is needed and helpful for you to start your own exploration. Meet Your Guide
Greetings 👋 My name is Yornaath and I have spent over a decade practicing Hatha yoga in the lineage of Ashtanga yoga as taught by my teacher R. Sharath Jois. Through the journey I have felt the beautiful clarity, health and presence that comes to us when we deepen our breath in a mindful and embodied way. And now I want to share this with you. In this course I will share with you the basics of four foundational and traditional breath patterns, pranayamas; that are found in the system of Hatha Yoga. It is my belief that with this guidance, if absorbed attentively; will help you to form a strong and sound foundation for further exploration of and meditation upon breath.
